Hi there – the first thing I want people to know about me is that I am a boater. My passion for all things boating and being on the water is endless, and I am thankful to be able to work and play every day on the Chesapeake Bay! I am also a husband, a dad, a brother, and a son, and family is extremely important to me. I work in our family business, and we work hard together to provide great customer service in this industry that we are so passionate about.
I have been fortunate to have lived as a boater all my life. In 1988 my parents came to the Chesapeake Bay after sailing around the world on their 37′ cutter, and began managing Spring Cove Marina in Solomons, MD. I grew up at the marina, and have had a unique opportunity to learn about every aspect of boating.
I began work as a marina dock hand and bottom painter in the yard at just 13 years old, and from there gained knowledge and understanding of all aspects of the boating industry. I’ve had the opportunity to work with and learn from first class marine technicians, and was introduced to marina management and sales right out of school.
I have been the Marina Manager at Spring Cove Marina since 2013, and have had the opportunity to work in and grow every aspect of our family business. I have experience running boats of all sizes, both power and sail, and I have logged over 5000 miles of off shore, blue water passages. I am a board member on the Marine Trades Association of Maryland and am able to work with many great people in the industry from all around the Chesapeake Bay.
I have bought, sold, traded, and worked on boats from 16′-50′ and have had the pleasure of helping many customers buy and sell their own boats working as the manager and lead broker for Spring Cove. Brokerage has always been an important part of our business model, because I believe helping people buy their first boat, sell their last, or change size or style as their needs change is as important as renting slips and maintaining a first rate facility. It’s all part of the same wonderful thing that I am so passionate about – boats!
I want to help all of my customers have a joyful and incredible boating experience from start to finish, and nothing makes me happier than seeing people fulfill their dream of being on the water – whether in a small runabout, weekend cruiser, or blue water sailor, I want to help you buy your next or first boat, or sell your current one.
